Aircraft Anchoring
If the aircraft is parked in an open area, it is necessary to anchor it using ropes and anchoring
tie downs. in order to
avoid movement. Turn the aircraft with its nose against the wind, fix the ropes to the catches on the
rings on the strut ends
and to the noise wheel, and if necessary also to the rear end of the fuselage. Block the control stick
to lock up the
elevator and ailerons . Cover the cockpit with a soft sheet to avoid any damage of the Lexan windscreen.
Place a wooden blocks in front of as well as behind the wheels
All the fixing must be made in such a way that the aircraft may not become damaged.
By anchoring the aircraft in a rainy weather or in a conditions at which water could condense in the airframe, it’s
needed , before the flight, to follow the steps as described in the article “Aircraft Washing”.
Aircraft Repairs
Minor repairs are considered to be the repairs of such components which do not affect the flight properties and
the strength of the aircraft. These may be done by the owner himself.
All the repairs of the torsion box, wing spars or tail units, struts and load-bearing parts of the airframe must be
carried out by the manufacturer only.
Aircraft Cleaning and Washing
Openings of static inlet, stall speed indicator and Pitot tube must be covered before washing.
Wash the aircraft with standard car-shampoo and water. Avoid using of any solvents and any cleaning agents
which influence to duralumin and laminate are you not sure about.
All insects stuck on the aircraft can influence distinctly performances and air characteristic of the
aircraft. That’s why it is necessary to remove them in time!
The best way how to do it is to wet the surface first and let them soak for a while before we wiping it with a
sponge. Avoid any using of raw sponges which could damage the aircraft surface unreparably.
After drying the aircraft surface you could treat it by using any silicon-based car polish. Its use improve
markedly the next aircraft cleaning.
The cockpit transparent windshield cleaning needs special care. It must not be cleaned with any
organic solvents or fuel which can cause permanent damage. Use a lot of water
.. Never use the same water
used for the complete aircraft cleaning already before. Use also a separate sponge and rag for drying of this
windshield.
Any eventual using of dirty water and coarse, dirty sponges and rags can cause a windshield surface crashes.
After finishing the aircraft cleaning , check if there is no water on wings and tails. Remove the cowling and
Check if there is no water inside the engine compartment, dry it if necessary.
Remove the covers from openings of static inlet and Pitot tube, Check if there is no water there.
By a very gently blowing into the Pitot tube the airspeed indicator pointer must move and return back onto the
“0” position.
When operating the aircraft on grassy areas, move the aero-dynamical wheel spats, time to time, and clean them.
Mud layers inside the cover can cause
excessive stress on the spats, due to weight,
