Configuring Faronics Core via the Configuration Wizard
•
Select Use Windows Authentication or Use SQL Server Authentication as required. Check
with your system administrator which authentication to use for the Core Server.
•
If you choose Use SQL Server Authentication, enter the User name and the Password for the
SQL Server.
•
When creating the database for the first time, or when logging in under a new account with
Windows Authentication, enter the credentials of the SQL Server Administrator. These
credentials are used to give the current user access to the Core Database. These credentials are
used temporarily and then discarded.
•
You can test the connection to the database server by clicking on Test. Click Next.
6. Create a new Administrator. An initial Administrator account must be created. Only
authorized users can perform actions using Faronics Core. This initial Administrator account
will allow you to create other user accounts.
The E-mail specified in the Configuration Wizard is not sent to Faronics. It is used
a search parameter in the Users and Roles dialog. For more information, refer to
Manage Users and Roles
