Your new Bassman
®
60 amplifier delivers the
professional Fender quality and sound that
performing and recording musicians demand.
On stage, 60-watts of power drive the 12-inch
woofer and piezo horn for full-spectrum
response. The unique tilt-back cabinet design
of the Bassman 60 affords direct and clear
listening useful on crowded stages or
rehearsing at low volumes. A switchable
LIMITER circuit prevents excessive distortion at
peak volumes and the ENHANCE switch
modifies the mid-frequency contour producing a
“fatter” sound. With your bass guitar tuner
plugged into the , tune-up quietly between
songs by pressing the MUTE switch.
Connect your Bassman 60 to recording or
sound-reinforcement consoles using the
balanced XLR LINE-OUT jack for a superior
signal-to-noise ratio. Bass guitars with
active pre-amps are accommodated with an
ACTIVE/PASSIVE INPUT switch.
The Bassman 60 was designed to sound great
with its four tone controls pointing straight-up, but
why settle for great? Semi-parametric equaliza-
tion of the middle range is controlled by two
knobs; with the MID-FREQUENCY knob, select
the frequency that the MID-LEVEL knob boosts or
cuts! Plug in external effects devices to the
EFFECTS LOOP jacks on the Rear Panel of the
Bassman 60 for unlimited sonic options.

reduce VOLUME {C} level.
E. ENHANCE - Switch IN modifies the middle-fre-

toned bass playing. Switch OUT turns OFF
ENHANCE, useful for finger-style bass playing.
F. BASS - Adjusts the level (boost/cut) of the low-
frequency range.
G. MID LEVEL - Adjusts the level (boost/cut) of
the middle-frequency range that has been
selected by the MID FREQ {H} control.
H. MID FREQ - Selects the middle-frequency
range for the MID LEVEL {G} knob to adjust.
I. TREBLE - Adjusts the level (boost/cut) of the

Switch OUT for normal amplifier operation.
K. MUTE LED - Flashes when MUTE {J} switch is IN.
L. PWR-AMP CLIP LED - Indicates clipping (dis-
tortion) in the power-amplifier. If undesirable
distortion is heard when this LED illuminates,
switch IN the LIMITER {M}.
M. LIMITER - Switch IN prevents excessive clip-
ping (distortion) in the power-amplifier.
N. POWER LED - Illuminates when the
POWER SWITCH {O} is ON and the unit is
receiving power. NOTE: MUTE {J} switch
