SERVICE NOTES
CHASSIS REMOVAL is accomplished by first
removing four (4) screws from the rear upper
cabinet panel. Remove the panel. Remove
three (3) screws from the bottom lip of the rear
of the chassis that attaches to the inside top of
the cabinet. Remove four (4) screws from the
top of the cabinet. Unplug the speaker cable
from the “Main Spkr” jack on the rear panel.
Unplug the dual RCA cable from the dual RCA
jacks on the bottom of the chassis. Slide the
chassis toward the rear of the cabinet.
POWER SUPPLY PCB ASSEMBLY RE-
MOVAL is accomplished by disconnecting all
fast-on terminal wire connections to/from the
power supply PCB assembly. Remove four (4)
mounting screws attaching the PCB assembly
to the chassis. Remove pilot light LED from
the pilot light jewel assembly. Un-solder
heater wiring (WJ3-4, WJ8-9) from tube socket
V4 pins 4-5 and 9 and V5, pins 4-5 and 9.
MAIN PCB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL is accom-
plished by disconnecting all fast-on terminal
wire connections to/from the main PCB as-
sembly. Disconnect all ribbon cables from the
main PCB assembly. Remove ten (10) mount-
ing screws attaching the PCB assembly to the
chassis. Un-solder all tube socket wiring at V3
thru V8. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove
heater wiring from tube sockets V3 thru V8 in
order to remove the main PCB assembly.
CONTROL PCB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL is
accomplished by disconnecting all fast-on ter-
minal wire connections to/from the control PCB
assembly. Disconnect all ribbon cables from
the control PCB assembly. Remove nine (9)
knobs, ten (10) nuts and washers attaching the
PCB assembly to the front panel of the chas-
sis. Un-solder all tube socket wiring at V1 and
V2. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove
heater wiring from tube sockets V1 and V2 in
order to remove the control PCB assembly.
EFFECTS PCB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL is ac-
complished by disconnecting all ribbon cables
from the control PCB assembly. Remove two
(2) nuts and washers and two (2) screws at-
taching the PCB assembly to the rear panel of
the chassis.
REVERB PCB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL is ac-
complished by disconnecting all fast-on wire
connections from the PCB assembly (P32-
P35). Remove one (1) screw attaching
green/yellow ground wire to the chassis. Re-
move one (1) screw from bottom of chassis
that attaches the dual RCA jack to the chassis.
