(Personal Protective Equipment) PPE
Before using the drill, wear suitable work clothing, gloves, shoes and protective goggles.
Also wear protective devices for the ears (hearing protectors), such as earmuffs, earplugs,
etc..
Workspace
Be familiar with the work area.
Always check the work area before using the drill.
Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and well lit.
Precautions for use
When drilling small or irregularly shaped objects, secure the work piece in a vice with soft
jaws.
After assembling the cutting bit and connecting the flexible compressed air supply hose, grab
the drill by its "gun" handle.
Position the selector lever to choose the spindle rotation direction (Ref. 3 in Figure 1) as
follows:
F (up)
→
Clockwise rotation (FORWARD)
R (down)
→
Anti-clockwise rotation (REVERSE)
To turn it on and begin the rotation of the spindle, press the button on the butterfly valve
(Ref. 4 in Figure 2).
The drill's start button is a continuous hold lever, in the sense that the controlled function
(i.e. the rotation of the spindle) is active as long as the lever itself continues to be pressed
down. Therefore, release the button to stop operation when finished drilling or in an
emergency.
Emergency
In the event of an emergency, immediately release the drill's power button.
Disconnect the air hose and turn off the tool in the following situations:
to change or replace the cutting tool;
to clean, rebuild or perform maintenance on the drill;
if the drill is not used for some time.
