How to Set

Control Type [CT]
This item is used to select the operation type for
CONTROL 1–3 from LATCH and MOMENTARY.
MOMENTARY1 (MON1): The contact closes for
100 ms only when the CONTROL is turned ON,
allowing a momentary operation. This mode can
be used for controlling an amplifier channel that
supports momentary operations.
MOMENTARY2 (MON2): The contact closes for
100 ms when the CONTROL is turned ON or OFF,
allowing a momentary operation. This mode can
be used for controlling a device that turns on/off its
effects, etc. by momentary operations.
[CT] on ENTER [C1] on Set (param1) ENTER
[LT] flashes Set (param2) ENTER
Parameter 1: CTL1 [C1] to CTL3 [C3]
Parameter 2: LATCH [LT] / MOMENTARY1 [M1] /
MOMENTARY2 [M2] (default: LATCH [LT])

MUTE MODE [MM]
This item is used to set the operation mode for
the MUTE switch. When set to AUTO, pressing a
preset switch automatically clears the mute status.
When set to MANUAL, the mute status is cleared
by pressing the MUTE switch again.
[MM] on ENTER [AT] flashes Set ENTER
Parameter: AUTO [AT], MANUAL [MN] (default: AUTO [AT])

Memory Protect [PR]
This item is used to protect the settings stored in
the ARC-53M from tampering. The M.PROTECT
dot in the display illuminates when the protection
is turned on.
[PR] on ENTER [OF] flashes Set ENTER
Parameter: OFF [OF], ON (default: OFF [OF])

LED Brightness [BR]
This item is used to adjust LED brightness. If the
LED is too dim during outdoor performance, set this
parameter to “2” (bright).
[BR] on ENTER [1] flashes Set ENTER
Parameter: 1 = standard, 2 = bright (default: 1)

PGM DUMP/LOAD [DP]
This item is used to delete the contents of the
specified preset.
This item is used to transfer the data saved in one ARC-53M
to another ARC-53M or vice versa.
Procedure for MIDI LOAD (receive): [DP] on ENTER
[RV] flashes
ENTER [YS] flashes ENTER (wait for
data to be sent) [OK] or [ER] [DP] on
Procedure for MIDI DUMP (send): [DP] on ENTER
Set to flash [SD] ENTER [YS] flashes ENTER [01
to 20 in order] [OK] flashes
Parameter: RECEIVE [RV], SEND [SD]

Initialize [IL]
This returns the ARC-53M to its factory shipped
status.
