The commands are only sent when the value of the sent controller changes by changing the pedal.
Position. The PERIOD parameter that designates the minimal time interval between successive CTRL CH.
Commands. It is recommended to set the interval on 4 ms if the expression pedal is used in functions
demandingaquickaction(e.g.wah-waheffect).Forotherfunctionse.g.VOLUME,itissuggestedtoset
the interval in the range of 16 ms to 32 ms. This reduces the number of data transmitted to the sound
processor which in some cases can bring the faster reaction for CTRL CH commands.
Expression pedal CALIBRATION:
Calibration assures correct functioning of the connected pedal in terms of its response range and work-
ingdirection.TocalibratethepedalfirstentertheMENU->EXPRESSIONPEDAL->CURRENTVALUE
and watch the noise level. It is recommended using pedals with a maximum noise level of 10. Don’t
change the pedals position while checking the noise level. Then enter the MENU -> EXPRESSION PEDAL
-> CALIBRATION. Set the pedal to TOE UP position and press OK. Then set the pedal to TOE DOWN posi-
tion and press OK. The percentage values displayed during the calibration indicate the level of signal in
proportion to the full signal range.
Controller enables to receive PROG CHANGE and CONTROL CHANGE commands from an external MIDI
device for remote control. Commands enable to remotely recall the banks and activate the functions of
the MSF foot switch. To set the MIDI IN functions enter the MENU -> MIDI IN FUNCTIONS. Using MIDI IN is
possible when the receiving MIDI CHANNEL will be selected in MENU -> MIDI IN FUNCTIONS -> CHANNEL.
The PC commands functionality is set in MENU -> MIDI IN FUNCTIONS -> PC FUNCITON:
- UNUSED – receiving a PROGRAM CHANGE commands is OFF
- PRESET 1-10 – recalling the MFS footswitch which refers to the PC number (PC#10 is MFS No. 0)
- BANK + PRESET –recalling the bank and the preset. The bank No. refers to the hundreds and tens digit
in the range from 1 to 11. The MFS footswitch No. refers to the units digit.
The CC commands functionality is set in MENU -> MIDI IN FUNCTIONS -> CC FUNCITON:
- UNUSED – receiving a CONTROL CHANGE commands is OFF

To set the Function enter the MENU -> WAH PADS. The function enables to select loops connected to
effects which are placed on the pads.
To set the Function it is needed to enter the MENU -> SWITCH OUT MODE. The setting defines the mode
of working of SWITCH OUT relays. Each of 6 relay can work in the one of three below mentioned mode:
- LATCHING – bistable –setting the SWITCH to ON will short the corresponding relay output and setting
to OFF will open the relay
