Handles
The handles and their fixtures and fittings must be able
to withstand the following pulling forces:
Cooling compartment door: 60 N
Freezer and chiller compartment doors: 30 N
Weight of the kitchen unit doors
To guarantee correct operation of the hinges, the
maximum load must not be exceeded by that of the
kitchen unit doors.
Maximum load exerted by the cooling compartment
furniture door:
18 kg
Calculate the load using the following formulae:
Handles fitted to the side:
Load = weight of furniture door + 2 x weight of handle
Handles fitted in the middle:
Load = weight of furniture door + weight of handle
Height of the ventilation opening
To save energy and keep the noise level as low as
possible, you should plan to have the ventilation opening
as high as possible.

A: Height of the ventilation opening
S: Base clearance
Possible height: 80 − 160 mm
Recommended height: 150 − 160 mm.
The height of the ventilation opening must be no less
than 80mm, otherwise the refrigeration unit may
malfunction and become damaged.
Height of the ventilation opening less than 130 mm:
There must be space behind the appliance to allow
warm air to dissipate. The appliance would otherwise be
forced to work harder, which would increase power
consumption.
With the appliance feet fully screwed in and a ventilation
opening at a height of 80mm, the minimum base
clearance is 100 mm.
