6. Maintenance
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning media.
1. Unscrew the 4 screws

with a screwdriver.
2. Remove the suction foot valve

with inlet screen from the
pump and clean it.
3. Attach the suction foot valve with the inlet screens

to the
pump and tighten the 4 screws

with washers

7. Troubleshooting
Fault Possible
cause
Remedy
DANGER! Electric shock!
There is a risk of injury from electric shocks.
v Before maintenance, disconnect the
submersible pressure pump from the mains.
Clean suction foot with
inlet screen:
Air cannot escape as the
pressure line is closed.
v Disassemble check valve and
clean (see 3. Initial operation).
Check valve jammed.
v Check fuses and electrical
plug-in connections.
Power supply interrupted.
v Unplug the mains plug and
clean the suction foot valve
(see 6. Maintenance).
Observe max. media
temperature (35 °C).
Pump overheated:
Thermal protection switch
switched pump off due to
overheating.
v Unplug the mains plug and
clean the suction foot valve
(see 6. Maintenance).
Suction foot / inlet screens
clogged.
v Submerge pump deeper
(see 8. Technical Data /
Minimum submersion depth
on commissioning).
When starting the pump,
water height falls below the
min. water level.
v Unplug mains cable and
plug in again.
Air cushion in suction foot.
v Open pressure line
(e. g. bent pressure hose).
The pump does not
deliver any water.
DANGER! Electric shock!
There is a risk of injury from electric shocks.
v Before eliminating faults, disconnect the
submersible pressure pump from the mains.
For safety reasons, a damaged turbine must only be
replaced by GARDENA Service.
