viii) Offer Slide (item 12) up to Entry Frame (item 4) ensuring the top of the slide rests on the cross member. The
walls of the slide must be positioned on the outside of the gussets on the Entry Frame. Shim under the slide
feet to set the slide plumb and square, adjust the slide exit to the required height. Secure the slide to the
gussets using 2 off M6 x 10 Resistorx bolts (item 39) and M6 Nyloc nuts (item 41). The Resistorx bolt heads
must be on the inside of the slide. (STEP 3).
ix)
Attach 1 off LH Gantry Frame (item 3) and 1 off RH Gantry Frame (item 2) to the other two Posts as shown
using 12 off M10 x 40 Resistorx bolts (item 34), M10 Saddle Washers (item 43), M10 Shockproof Washers
(item 47) and 6 off Gaskets (item 31). (STEP 4).
x)
Secure between the ends of Gantry Frames 1 off Spiral Pole (item 17) using 4 off M10 x 40 Resistorx bolts
(item 34), M10 Saddle Washers (item 43), M10 Shockproof Washers (item 43) and 2 off Gaskets (item 32).
(STEP 4).
xi)
Secure between Gantry Frames 1 off Gantry Deck (item 11) using 4 off M10 x 25 Resistorx bolts (item 37) and
M10 Washers (item 45). Fully tighten to 20-25Nm all fixings when assembly is correctly aligned. (STEP 4).
xii) Secure to the LH & RH Gantry Frames the Angled Climb Wall Top (item 21) and the Angled Climb Wall Bottom
(item 22) using 12 off M10 x 40 Resistorx bolts (item 34) and M10 Washers (item 45), ensure that the
chamfered edge on the climb wall faces in the correct direction. Also attach the Angled Climb Wall Top (item
21) and Angled Climb Wall Bottom (item 22) to the Angled Climb Wall Brace (item 9) using 6 off M10 x 20
Resistorx bolts (item 38), M10 Tee Nuts (item 42), M12 Shockproof Washers (item 46) and M10 Large
Washers (item 44). Fully tighten. (STEP 5).
xiii) Position 1 off Tower Thorn Climber 2100 (item 8) into appropriate excavation and attach to the RH Gantry
Frame using 2 off M10 x 30 Resistorx bolts (item 36) and M10 Washers (item 45). Fully tighten to 20-25Nm.
(STEP 6).
xiv) Secure to the Posts in the position shown the Vertical Climb Wall Top (item 23) and the Vertical Climb Wall
Bottom (item 24) using 16 off M10 x 40 Resistorx bolts (item 34) and M10 Washers (item 45), ensure that the
chamfered edge on the climb wall faces in the correct direction. Also attach the Vertical Climb Wall Top (item
23) and Vertical Climb Wall Bottom (item 24) to the Vertical Climb Wall Brace (item 10) using 6 off M10 x 20
Resistorx bolts (item 38), M10 Tee Nuts (item 42), M12 Shockproof Washers (item 46) and M10 Washers
(item 45). Fully tighten. (STEP 7).
xv) Ensure that all parts are firmly held in place so that no disturbance will occur during pouring of the concrete.
xvi) Check that the completed structure has been positioned in the correct place, that it is plumb and square, that
all fasteners are fully tightened to the correct torque settings. (STEP 8).
xvii) Suspend the 2 off Ground Fixing Chain Assemblies (item 26) vertically in the correct position over there
excavations ensureing that a least 13 chain links are encased in the concrete to provide a secure fixing with
the Hex. bolt at the bottom of the hole. (STEP 8).
xviii) Fill the hole with concrete to the required level, taking into account any Impact Absorbing Surfacing
requirements. Ensure that the full volume of concrete is used. The top of the concrete should gradually (1:100)
slope down & outwards locally from the equipment upstand to the required level to form a watershed.
Concrete mix is recommended at:
1 part cement;
2 parts sand;
4 parts aggregate;
by volume with 20mm aggregate
(20 N/mm
2
min compressive strength)
xix) Keep installation off limits to the public until the concrete has completely cured. (Recommended initial curing
time is 48 hours). (STEP 8)
xx) If installation is with a loose fill type surface, the Posts should be marked with ‘Basic level mark’ to indicate the
recommended finished surface level.
xxi) Attach the Rope Ladder (item 25) to the Eye Nuts on the Rope Ladder Tie Bar (item 7) using 2 off Coupling
Links (item 30). (STEP 9).
NOTE: The long ends of Rope Ladder are fixed at the top onto the Tie Bar.
xxii) Attach the other end of the Rope Ladder to the Ground Fixing Chains using 2 off Coupling Links (item 30).
Shorten the chains as necessary to tension the Ladder. (STEP 9).
