7. ESC INSTALLATION
•
Mount the ESC (electronic speed control-
ler) to the helicopter side frame with dou-
ble sided tape. Connect the speed control-
ler outputs to the corresponding coloured
cables on the motor.

The factory pushrod lengths are as follows:

Measurements are from the
centre of each ball link

Keep these measurements for reference in
the event that your helicopter needs repair.
•
All radio settings are based on these push-
rod lengths. See pages 13, 14 & 15.
LINKAGE, NUT & BOLT CHECKS
•
Check that all linkages and connectors are
attached correctly and that rotating parts
are free to rotate smoothly.
•
Check that all linkages move freely with no
binding or stiffness. Free off any linkages
that show any degree of tightness or
binding.
•
Check that all bolts and screws are secure
before flying your Twister 3D Storm. If nec-
essary, apply thread locking compound
(not supplied) where appropriate.
ESC Specs:

Soft Start type
•
11.1V with BEC
•
9V BEC Cut-Off
8. CONNECTING THE GYRO
•
The HL400 gyro comes factory installed
and just requires connecting to the correct
sockets in the receiver.
•
Connect the plug with the black, red and
orange wire to the ‘Rudder’ or the correct
channel number socket on the receiver.
•
The plug with the single yellow wire plugs
into an ‘Aux’ socket on the receiver. Refer
to you radio instruction manual.

For further information refer to the separate
instructions for the HL400 Gyro.
IMPORTANT!
Before the connecting the flight pack to
switch on the helicopter, the Tail Rotor trim
lever on the transmitter, MUST be centred in
order for the gyro to arm correctly. Once the
gyro is armed (Set light is on), check the tail
rotor control for correct operation.
