15. Troubleshooting

1. •Theboilerisfullofwater
and the water flows out
of the safety valve.
•Oneoftheoutflowlinesfrom
the boiler or from a circuit of
the unit has a leak.
•Checktheautolevelcircuit,the
manual charging button, and the
boiler heat exchangers.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsto
eliminate the leak.
2. •Thesafetyvalvetipsto
release steam.
•Malfunctionofelectrical
system (the electrical heating
element is always connected).
•Pressureincreaseintheboiler
(the safety valve trips at 2÷2.5
bar).
•Checkthewiringthatfeedsthe
heating element and the pressure
switch.
3. •Themachinewasstarted
properly but the water in
the boiler does not warm
up.
•Theelectricheatingelementis
defective or is not connected.
•Mainswitchturnedtoposition
1.
•Checkiftheheatingelementis
connected to the power supply.
•Checkiftheheatingelementsafety
thermostat has tripped in and check
its proper operation.
•Themainswitchmustbeturnedto
position 2.
4. •Thereisnowaterflowing
from a serving unit.
•Coffeegroundtoofineor
excessive quantity for type of
filter used.
•Cloggedwatercircuit.
•Defectivesolenoid.
•Adjustthegrindingcoarsenessand/
or the quantity of ground coffee.
•Checkthattheinjector,theupper
circulation pipe, the valve (flow
variator) of the group, the water
dispenser and the solenoid valve of
the group are not clogged.
•Inthemachineswithelectronic
metering, check the displacement
meter and its valves.
•Checkthesolenoidoftheunit,its
wiring and the fuse in the electronic
control unit.
5. •Theprogrammed
servings of espresso
coffee are not constant
or vary on the different
units.
•Abnormaloperationofthe
electronic control unit or of the
displacement counters.
•Leakfromservingunit
solenoid valve.
•Waterdispensersclogged.
•Programtheservingdoses
separately on each dispensing unit.
If the problem persists, replace the
volumetric meter of the dispensing
unit affected.
•Replacethesolenoidvalveofthe
serving group.
•Checkthewaterdispenser.
6. •Itisnotpossibleto
program the serving
quantities on unit 1 and
to copy them on the
other units.
•Abnormaloperationor
defective displacement meter
of unit 1.
•Checkthecontrolunit-displacement
meters electrical wiring.
•Replacethevolumetriccounter.
7. •Displacementmeters
alarm.
•Displacementmetersjammed
or defective.
•Defectivewiring.
•Replacethevolumetriccounter.
•Checkthewiringandits
