LaCie warrants your LaCie 4big Enterprise Class against any de-
fectinmaterialandworkmanship,undernormaluse,fortheperiod
designatedonyourwarrantycertificate.Intheeventthisproductis
foundtobedefectivewithinthewarrantyperiod,LaCiewill,atits
option,repairorreplacethedefectiveLaCie4bigEnterpriseClass.
NOTE:
ForEnterpriseClassproducts,thetowerandthediskmay
havedifferentwarrantylengths.
IntheeventofadrivefailurepleasecontactyourLaCiereselleror
LaCiecustomersupportfordrivereplacementprocedure.
Thiswarrantyisvoidif:

The LaCie 4big was operated/stored in abnormal use or
maintenanceconditions;
✦
TheLaCie4bigisrepaired,modifiedoraltered,unlesssuch
repair, modification or alteration is expressly authorized in
writingbyLaCie;
✦
The LaCie 4big was subjected to abuse, neglect, lightning
strike,electricalfault,improperpackagingoraccident;
✦
TheLaCie4bigwasinstalledimproperly;
✦
TheserialnumberoftheLaCie4bigoranindividualDriveBay
isdefacedormissing;
✦
Thebrokenpartisareplacementpartsuchasapickuptray,
etc.
✦
ThetampersealontheLaCie4bigoranindividualDriveBay
casingisbroken.
✦
One or two of the hard disks have been removed and re-
placedbyanyharddiskotherthanadriveprovidedbyLaCie.

LaCieanditssuppliersacceptnoliabilityforanylossofdataduring
theuseofthisdevice,orforanyoftheproblemscausedasaresult.
LaCiewillnot,underanycircumstances,beliablefordirect,special
orconsequentialdamagessuchas,butnotlimitedto,damageor
loss of property or equipment, loss of profits or revenues, cost of
replacementgoods,orexpenseorinconveniencecausedbyservice
interruptions.
Anyloss,corruptionordestructionofdatawhileusingaLaCiedrive
is the sole responsibility of the user, and under no circumstances
willLaCiebeheldliablefortherecoveryorrestorationofthisdata.
Under no circumstances will any person be entitled to any sum
greaterthanthepurchasepricepaidforthedrive.
Toobtainwarrantyservice,callLaCieTechnicalSupport.Youwill
beaskedtoprovideyourLaCieproduct’sserialnumber,andyou
maybeaskedtofurnishproofofpurchasetoconfirmthatthedrive
isstillunderwarranty.
All systems returned to LaCie must be securely packaged in their
originalboxandshippedwithpostageprepaid.
NOTE:
Accessories,suchasinterfacecables,arenotunderwar-
ranty.
