Solution
Issues with the
LaCie blue eye
colorimeter.

being recognized?
Verify that the LaCie blue eye colorimeter is connected to your com-
puter through a USB port; also verify that the proper device has been
selected in the Device menu of the blue eye pro software.
Can the LaCie blue eye colorimeter
be connected to the USB port on
Apple keyboards?
Yes, the Apple keyboard provides a sufficient amount of power for the
colorimeter.
Can the LaCie blue eye vision cali-
brator be used with the LaCie blue
eye pro software?
The LaCie blue eye vision calibrator can be used with the LaCie blue
eye pro software in Windows only. Under Mac OS X, this calibrator
is unfortunately not supported. Please refer to page 15,
Using Another
Colorimeter
for more information.
Issues regarding
the calibration of
monitors other
than the LaCie
300/500 Series
Monitor.
Is the process for calibrating a moni-
tor other than the LaCie 300/500
Series Monitor the same?
No, the calibration process is different. Please refer to pages 29 to 35 for
full instructions and additional information.
Can LaCie photon monitors be cali-
brated in DVI or VGA mode with
the LaCie blue eye pro software?
Yes, but the calibration process will be manual. Please refer to pages 29
to 35 for full instructions and additional information.
Issues regarding
the Select Profile
Module.
Why don’t all of the saved ICC pro-
files appear in the dropdown menu
of the Select Profile module?
The drop-down menu displays the last 49 profiles created using the
LaCie blue eye pro. If you have created more than 49 profiles, you will
need to erase or move the older and/or un-used profiles to a folder other
than the Colorsync folder (Library > Colorsync > Profiles).
