FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question:
The coffee tastes too weak.
Answer:
Not enough ground coffee is being used. Add more coffee to the
filter. You must always use a minimum of 6g of coffee per mug.
Question:
Coffee is overflowing from the filter basket.
Answer:
There is too much water in the water tank. Use the travel mug to measure
the amount of water you are putting into the water tank.
Do not use more than 375ml of water, or fill beyond the ‘MAX’ mark
inside the tank.
Question:
The filter basket is overflowing or the coffee is brewing too slowly.
Answer:
There is too much coffee in the filter. The maximum amount of coffee per
mug is 20g. The coffee may be ground too finely. The filter may not be in
the correct position.
Question:
The coffee is not brewing or the coffee maker will not turn on.
Answer:
The water tank maybe empty or the coffee maker is not plugged in. Check
the water tank is filled and the coffee maker is plugged in.
Question:
The coffee maker is taking a long time to brew.
Answer:
The coffee maker may need cleaning. See ‘Care and cleaning’, the coffee
maker may need descaling.
Question:
The ‘Brew’ button will not illuminate to switch on when pressed.
Answer:
The thermostat inside the machine will need to cool completely before
you can press the ‘Brew’ button again to make another mug.
This will take around 5 minutes.
Question:
When I switch on the machine the ‘Brew’ button is already illuminated.
Answer:
The appliance has been switched off before it has run a full brewing cycle.
If you switch off the machine before the brewing cycle has finished, when
the appliance is switched back on it will continue the cycle until it has
finished. This will not be a full cycle.
