2 switching on and Getting started
• Onceallconnectionshavebeenmade,switchonUnitiQuteusingtherearpanel
power
switch
.UnitiQutewilldisplayawelcomescreenandselectitsrearpanelAnalogueinput
or,ifithasbeenusedpreviously,thelastinputselected.
Note:
If UnitiQute is left unused its display will switch off after a preset time. The “Auto-off”
behaviour can be adjusted within the setup menus.

Touching the UnitiQute front panel logo will mute and un-mute its speaker and
headphone outputs.

• Ifasubwooferorexternalpoweramplifierisconnected,theUnitiQutepreamplifier
outputmustbeconfiguredfromthe
speakers
setupmenu.Pressthe
setup
key and
select
speakers
followedby
Type

Large
ifasubwooferisusedtoaugmentthe
performanceoffullrangespeakersoranexternalpoweramplifierisconnected.Select
small
ifasubwooferisusedwithlimitedbandwidthsatellitespeakers.Exitsetupmode
bypressingthe
exit
or
setup
key.SeetheReferenceManualformoreinformationon
speakerandsubwoofersetupoptions.
• UnitiQuteisconfiguredwhenshippedtoconnecttowiredTCP/IPnetworksautomatically.
However,ifyourUnitiQutehasbeenpreviouslyusedanditsnetworkconfiguration
altered,oryournetworkrouterrequiresnon-standardsettings,itmaynotbeabletodo
so.RefertotheReferenceManualorcontactyourretailerifthisappearstobethecase.
• IfUnitiQuteistouseawirelessnetworkconnectionitislikelythatconfigurationwill
berequired.Enter
setup mode
bypressingthe
setup
key and select
Network
.Select
Wireless
andselectthedesiredwirelessnetworknameatthefollowingmenu.Ifthe
wirelessnetworkisprotectedyouwillbepromptedatthefollowingscreentoenterthe
pass-phraseoraccesskey.Usethe
numeric/text
keystoenterthepass-phraseoraccess
keytakingcaretoensurethatthelettercaseiscorrect.RefertotheReferenceManual
formoreinformation.
3 selecting Inputs
• UnitiQuteinputscanbeselectedusingthe
up
and
down
keysoroneofthe
input
selection
keys.
• Pressingoneofthe
input selection
keyseitherselectsasingleinputorscrollsthrough
agroupofinputs.Forexample,pressingthe
Cd
key selects the
analogue
input,while
pressing the
radio
keyscrollsthroughagroupcomprisingthe
FM
,
daB
and
iradio
inputs.
Thedefault
input selection
keyassignmentsaredescribedintheReferenceManual.They
canbemodifiedviatheInputssetupmenu.Pressthe
setup
key and select the
Handset
Buttons
optiontomodifyinputkeyassignments.
