MAINTENANCE:
NOTE: Service maintenance should only be carried out by qualified personnel, and only use
original
NATURA
Replacement Parts and equipment
.
ATTENTION: The unit is plugged into 115VAC-60 Hz. Always disconnect the
power cord from the outlet before working on the unit.
7.1 Regular Maintenance
Every 3 months -
In order to maintain the best refrigeration efficiency, clean the
condenser with a soft brush and vacuum cleaner, to prevent possible clogging of the
cooling fins.
Every 6 months, or before 10.000 liters of water usage, (depending on the daily
consumption) do the following:
o
Replace All Three Filter Cartridges (see section 7.3).
o
Inspect the water level of the water chiller bucket and fill if necessary.
o
Wash and sterilize the unit and faucets (see section 7.2).
7.2 Washing and Sterilization
To keep and maintain the
Natura
™ Water Refrigeration unit in good working condition
and to guarantee quality and hygiene, it is a good practice to periodically disinfect the
water supply lines. Keep in mind that the frequency of this practice is inversely
proportionate to the amount of water that is dispensed by the unit. That is, a unit that is
used constantly should be cleaned more frequently than a unit that is used on
infrequently.
7.3 Replacing the Disposable Filter Cartridges
o
Turn off the main water supply line and disconnect the power line from the unit.
o
Remove the front cover of the filter box.
o
Press the red button on top of the filter housing to release the pressure from the
line. (OR draw some water from the STILL water faucet.)
o
Turn the filter sump (housing) counterclockwise to unscrew and remove it for
access to the filter cartridge. Be aware of water spillage while turning the
housing.
NOTE: When opening the filter housing to change the cartridge, it is
common for the O-ring to lift out of the housing and stick to the cap.
o
Remove the used filter cartridge and discard. Rinse out housing and fill about
1/3 full with water. Add about 2 to 3 tablespoons of bleach and scrub thoroughly
with brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly.
o
Remove O-ring from sump and wipe groove and O-ring clean. Lubricate O-ring
with a coat of clean silicone grease. Place O-ring back into the groove with two
fingers.
NOTE: This step is important to ensure a proper seal. Make sure the O-
ring is seated level in the groove.
CAUTION: If O-ring appears damaged or
crimped it should be replaced at this time. Contact your Natura Service
Dept for replacement parts.
