Each Nautilus GPS comes pre-programmed with an MID number. This number
serves as your identification and will be transmitted along with your distress call.
The number can be found on the back label of your Nautilus GPS.
If your vessel (or the vessel you are traveling with) has a DSC enabled VHF radio, it
is recommended to program the vessel MMSI number into your Nautilus GPS. This
allows your Nautilus GPS to send a DSC position report directly to the vessel VHF
radio by holding down the yellow button for 5 seconds.
Note: Not required for use of the red Help button

MMSI PROGRAMMING (Android & iOS)
Download and install Nautilus GPS MMSI Programming App from Google
Play or Apple iTunes. (Note: ios app requires ios 8 or later)
Start the App and enter Own Ship’s MMSI, Group MMSI, and if desired, AIS
Only or DSC Only.
Lay Nautilus GPS face down with Label pointing up.
Aim your mobile phone’s flashlight at Nautilus GPS and press START. Your
mobile phone’s flashlight will flicker. Try not to move the phone during the
programming sequence.
Nautilus GPS flashes the white strobe LED twice when successfully
programmed and returns to IDLE state. If no valid programming sequence
received after 60s, Nautilus GPS returns to IDLE state.
