Press and hold Nautilus GPS Test Button for 5s till ORANGE indicator on Solid
Releasing TEST button the ORANGE indicator will flash with the same rate as BLUE indicator
• Slow flashing indicates no acquired position
• Fast flashing indicates acquired position
Test sequence begins after Nautilus GPS has acquired position.
Approximately 20s after acquiring position the ORANGE Indicator will stop flashing (on solid)
and Nautilus GPS will transmit a low power Routine Own Ship Position Report.
This message will be received by all surrounding vessels with AIS receivers. As well, if you
have programmed a vessel MMSI (see page 7), the message will be received on the vessel’s
VHF radio.
Low Battery indicated by alternate sequencing of ORANGE – RED indicators. Replace
batteries before next use.
Good Battery indicated by Nauitlus GPS returning to IDLE.

Note: Test should be done at a temperature between 10-30 degrees Celsius.

Check the O-ring carefully for dust or contaminants before submerging the unit.
Applying a very sparing application of lubricant to the piston o-ring can be beneficial.
