CHECK THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE:

POSSIBLE CAUSE

No power.
AC cord is unplugged.
Plug AC cord into an AC outlet.
Power is on, but unit
is not functioning
properly.
Condensation has formed.
Unplug the unit and wait about 1-2 hours for unit to dry
out.
Wrong type of disc, or the disc is
corrupt.
Try other discs.
The disc is dirty or inserted incorrectly.
Clean disc and re-insert with label side up.
No picture and/or no
sound.
The connection cables are not installed
correctly.
Re-install the cables.
Settings on the video output of the
player are incorrect.
Press the VIDEO button repeatedly until the correct picture
displays on the TV.
The connected TV may be turned off.
Turn the power strip on (if used). Turn the TV on.
Playback picture is
rolling
Settings are wrong in the color
system of the player
Press the P/N button on the remote control repeatedly
until the correct picture displays on the TV.
Poor picture quality.
The disc is dirty or damaged.
Clean the disc as best you can and try again.
The remote control is
not working.
The batteries are weak or dead.
Replace with new batteries.
The batteries are not installed properly. Install the batteries following the polarity markings shown
inside the battery compartment.
The remote is not aimed at the sensor.
Lower the lights in the room and aim the remote at sensor.
Distance is too far.
Operate within 5 m (16 feet).
An obstacle is in the path of the beam.
Move obstacle.
The unit does not
start playback.
Rating level set to block the TV.
Remove the lock with the password.
DVD not inserted or DVD inserted
upside down.
Insert DVD correctly.
A non-playback disc is inserted.
Try another CD/DVD disc.
The disc is not placed correctly in the
guide.
Adjust the disc until it is seated
in the guide of the
disc tray.
The disc is dirty or damaged.
Clean the disc as best you can and try again.
Some functions do
not work.
Some features and functions are not
available on all discs.
Function may not be available on the disc. Try another disc.
Selected language
is not audible, or is
not showing in the
subtitles.
If the Audio or Subtitle Language
selection does not appear on the disc,
then the initial setting will not be seen
or heard.
Function is not available for that disc. Try another disc.
Subtitles are not
working properly.
Subtitles appear only when the disc
contains them.
Function is not available for that disc. Try another disc.
Subtitles are not turned on.
Turn the subtitles on.
Angle cannot be
changed.
Angles may not be recorded on the
disc (see jacket/case), or they may only
be recorded on a certain section of
the disc.
Try another disc. The multi-angle may not be available
on the whole disc. Wait until the multi-angle icon
ANGLE button on
the remote control to change the angle on screen.
