OBH Nordica 2320 Instructions For Use Manual - Anti-Drip Function
of the lid aligns with the handle of the thermal carafe. Put the thermal carafe
on the plate and make sure that the carafe is correctly positioned in order that
the drip stop is activated by the lid of the thermal carafe.
Swing out the filter unit and insert a coffee filter (1x4). Measure the wanted
amount of coffee in the filter - approx. 1 measuring jug a cup. Push the filter
unit back in and press until it engages properly. Plug the appliance and switch
on the coffee maker by means of the on/off button and the signal lamp of the
button will go on.
Always remove the thermal carafe from the coffee maker right after brewing in
order to prevent the anti-drip function of the coffee maker from letting air get
into the thermal carafe, which would make the coffee cool faster. In order to
pour coffee, press the activation button of the lid at the same time as you pour
from the thermal carafe. Never position the thermal carafe horizontally as this
may make it leak.
For hygienic reasons we recommend always to remove the used coffee filter
from the filter unit after brewing and to switch off the coffee maker by means
of on/off button.
Anti-drip function
This coffee maker has an automatic anti-drip function that prevents coffee
from running through the filter funnel, if the carafe has been removed from the
appliance. This means that the thermal carafe can shortly be removed from the
coffee maker during brewing. It is important, however, to put back the thermal
carafe on the heating plate within 30 seconds. If not, the coffee will overflow.
Cleaning and maintenance
Switch off the coffee maker, unplug and let the coffee maker cool off before
cleaning. Remove any used coffee filter and clean the coffee maker with a
damp cloth and wipe with a soft, dry cloth - never use scouring powder or a
sponge!
The filter unit can be lifted off the coffee maker by swinging it out from the
coffee maker and lifting it upwards and outwards to deliberate the lower spike
from the fixture of the coffee maker. Put the filter unit back in the coffee
maker by first hooking the spike into the upper edge in the fixture of the filter
unit and next make sure that the lower spike hooks on to the lower fixture.
Now swing back the filter unit again.
The appliance must not be immersed in water or kept under running water. The
filter unit, the thermal carafe and the lid of the carafe (unscrew the lid before
cleaning) should be washed by hand.
NOTE! If the coffee maker is used in places where there is a risk of frost
(caravans, summer cottages etc.) make sure to empty the water tank
COMPLETELY (turn the appliance upside down). This will also prevent damage
