OBH Nordica ODEN Steel
Before use
Before you use the utensils for the first time you should read the instructions carefully and
save the manual for future use.
ODEN Steel is a range of kitchen utensils made of stainless 18/10 steel. The term 18/10
signifies that the steel contains 18% chromium and 10% nickel, which gives optimal durability
against rust.
The bottom of the utensils has a 5 mm thick aluminum core for extra good conduction of heat.
The handles are made of silicone and doesn´t get as hot as handles made of steel. The fry
pan has a superb Teflon Platinum ”non-stick” coating.
All products work on all kinds of stoves, such as:
• induction
• electricstove
• ceramichob
• gasstove
• halogen
Use of sauce pan/casserole
Before you use the sauce pan/casserole for the first time you should wash it carefully. ODEN
Steel is dishwasher safe.
All sauce pans and casseroles in the line have a spout and lid with strainer (sauce pan 1
litre does not have lid) which makes it easy to pour remaining water without colander etc.
Glass lids on saucepans and casseroles makes it easy to check when boiling temperature is
reached without lifting the lid. The utensils should not be used in ovens.
If you should boil water and add salt, wait until boiling point before you add salt, just to avoid
salt stains. Hard water can also cause stains. To clean the utensil from stains, check under
”Cleaning and maintenance”.
Use of fry pan
Before you use the fry pan for the first time you should wash it carefully and dry afterwards.
The fry pan is dishwasher safe but it´s better if you wash it by hand to save the coating. Do
not use abrasive cleansers in the fry pan. Grease the pan with some oil before use.
Never leave the pan empty on a hot stove, since it may damage the pan. Do only use plastic
or wooden utensil since the coating may be damaged when using metal utensils. The fry pan
should not be used in ovens.
Cleaning and maintenance
To remove stains of salt and lime deposits we recommend that you add vinegar essence to
cover 1 cm of the bottom. Let it come to boil and remove from the hob. Let it rest for a couple
of minutes before you clean it and dry.
Do not use abrasive cleansers in the fry pan. The fry pan is dishwasher safe but it´s better if
you wash it by hand to save the coating. The sauce pans/casseroles can be dish washed.
