Press the fruit and vegetables pieces slowly down through the funnel using the
plunger. Never press too hard as this slows down speed and decreases juice yield.
The motor must always be running while fruits and vegetables are fed into the fun-
nel. The liquid now runs into the juice container which has a maximum capacity of
1.5liters,andthepulp(thesqueezedresidue)isextractedintoaseparatecontainer
– this container has a maximum capacity of 2 liters.
If something gets stuck so that the power juicer runs slowly or stops, switch off the
unit and clean the strain filter.
Do not operate the power juicer for more than 30 seconds at a time when juicing
larger amounts of firm vegetables.
Always switch off the unit after use by turning the speed switch back to ‘0’. Wait for
10-15 seconds until the strain filter has stopped rotating. Allow the last drops of
juice to run into the jug, then pull the plug from the power socket.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS SWITCH OFF the power juicer and wait for 10-15 se-
conds until the strain filter has stopped rotating before opening the unit!
NEVER USE FINGERS OR OBJECTS when pressing the fruit and vegetable
pieces down through the funnel. Always use the plunger.
Preparing fruits and vegetables
If cold juice is desired, it is recommended that you use refrigerated fruits/vege-
tables. Rinse the fruits and vegetables carefully. Large stones from fruits such as
peaches, plums, cherries, and apricots must be removed. Apples and pears inclu-
ding cores can be juiced. Fruits and vegetables with thick skin (e.g. melons, pineap-
ples, cucumbers, and citrus fruits) must be peeled – otherwise the strain filter may
be seriously damaged. Additionally, spots and dark areas on fruits and vegetables
should be removed and discarded.

(remove the middle stem), celery, apples, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons,

the flavour and colour of the juice. Apple and pear juices turn brown quite quick-
ly. If you add a few drops of lemon the juice will not discolour right away.
