11.4. Frost warning
Thisfunctionwarnsyou,ifthetemperatureforthesensordisplayedinthe
currentdisplaypaneldropsbelow39.2˚F/+4˚C(seemoreinchapter9.5).In
thecurrentdisplaypanelthefrostwarningsymbol(seeabove)appears.
12. Changing batteries
Dependingonwhattypeofbatteriesorrechargeablebatteries
youuse,thereplacementintervalcanbeverydifferent.High-
qualityalkalinebatteriesprovidelongestservice,rechargeable
batteriesorcheapzinc-carbonbatteriesrequiremorefrequent
changing.
12.1. Base station
Ifthebatteryflatsymbolappearsinthedisplay(
),yourbatteries
needreplacing.
•Alwaysreplacethewholesetofbatteries.
•Nevermixnewbatterieswith“used”batteries.
• Always use three batteries of the same type by the same
manufacturer.
•Donotmixbatterieswithrechargeablebatteries.
•As already mentioned, you can use rechargeable batteries,
however,durabilityisappreciablylowerthanwithbatteries.
•Followtheinstructionsinchapter7.1tochangethebatteries.
Please observe the following:
After replacing the batteries, all data, values stored in the base
station (e.g. settings, min.-/max. data etc.) are deleted and
must be entered again.
12.2. Combination sensor, outdoor sensors, pool sensor
Ifyoudonotreceiveinputfromasensorformorethan24hours,replacethe
batterieswithnewonesasdescribedintheoperatingmanualforthesensor.
Beforechangingthebatteries,checkwhetherradiointerference
iscausingthedatatransmissionfailure.Therewillbenoread-
ingsfromthesensoratthebasestationinthiscase.Thiscould
becausedbyametalobjectinthetransmissionpath(e.g.,a
parkedvehicle).
