TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
ISSUE
POTENTIAL CAUSE
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Machine will not start
No electrical connection
Check to make sure that machine is plugged into an
outlet
Safety switch may not be pressed in
allowing start up of machine
Read Operating Instructions on pages 6 & 7 to en-
sure proper steps are being taken
Switch may be defective
Contact a service center to have tested
Electrical voltage from outlet may be
too low to power machine
Have building maintenance or electrician check the
electrical outlet to test voltage
Building circuit breaker/fuse is
being tripped or machine circuit
breaker is being tripped
Electrical voltage from outlet may be
too low to power machine
Once motor has had time to cool down, depress the
machines circuit breaker (red button on the side of
the motor) to reset it. Try to start machine again
Have building maintenance or electrician check the
electrical outlet to test voltage
Eliminate extension cord if using one and plug ma-
chine directly into an outlet closer to work area
Machine is not running at a consis-
tent speed
If extension cord is being used, the
length may be too long
Make sure that you are not using an extension cord
longer than 25 feet. Make sure that the cord gauge
is 10.
If extension cord is not being used, contact a service
center to have your machine tested
Machine is pulling hard to one side
Pad is worn
Replace pad
Rubber isolators are worn
Contact a service center to replace isolators
Machine is louder than it was new
Rubber isolators are worn
Contact a service center to replace isolators
If equipped with weight kit, weights
may not be secured properly
Make sure that weights are seated properly and that
knobs are fully tightened
Bearing is worn
Replace bearing assembly
