Chimney Height / Rise and Run
This product was designed for and tested on a 6 inch (152mm)
chimney, 14 to 16 feet (420-480cm) high, (includes appliance
height) measured from the base of the appliance. The further
yourstackheightordiametervariesfromthisconfiguration,
the possibility of performance problems exists.
Chimney height may need to be increased by 2 - 3% per
each1000feetabovesealevel.Itisnotrecommendedto
use offsets or elbows at altitudes above 4000 feet above sea
levelorwhenthereareotherfactorsthataffectfluedraft.
C. Installing Chimney Components
Chimney Connector
Singlewallconnectororappliancepipe.
This must be at least 24 gauge mild steel or 26 gauge blue
steel. The sections must be attached to the appliance and
to each other with the crimped (male) end pointing toward
theappliance.Alljoints,includingtheconnectionattheflue
collar,shouldbesecuredwith3sheetmetalscrews.Make
sure to follow the minimum clearances to combustibles.
Wherepassagethroughthewall,orpartitionofcombustible
construction is desired in Canada, the installation shall con-
formtoCAN/CSA-B365.
Factory-builtlistedchimneyconnector(vented).
A listed connector (vented) must be used when installing
this appliance in a mobile home. The listed connectors must
conformtoeachothertoensureaproperfitandseal.
