• Removeapplianceandcomponentsfrompackagingand
inspect for damage.
• Report to your dealer any parts damaged in shipment.
• Read all the instructions before starting the installation.
Follow these instructions carefully during the
installation to ensure maximum safety and benefit.
E. Inspect Appliance and Components

• Installationand/oruseofanycomponentpartnotapproved
byHearth&HomeTechnologies.
• Operatingappliancewithoutfullyassemblingallcomponents.
• Operatingappliancewithoutlegsattached(ifsuppliedwith
appliance).
• DoNOTOverfire-Ifapplianceorchimneyconnectorglows,
youareoverfiring.
Any such action that may cause a fire hazard.

Tominimizetheeffectsofnegativeairpressure:
• Installtheoutsideairkitwiththeintakefacingprevailing
winds during the heating season
• Ensure adequate outdoor air for all combustion appliances
and exhaust equipment
• Ensure furnace and air conditioning return vents are not
located in the immediate vicinity of the appliance
• Avoidinstallingtheapplianceneardoors,walkwaysor
small isolated spaces
• Recessed lighting should be a “sealed can” design
• Attic hatches weather stripped or sealed
• Atticmountedductworkandairhandlerjointsandseams
taped or sealed
• Basement installations should be avoided
1. Remove box and 2x4 structural boards being careful
not to damage product.
2. UsingaPhillipsscrewdriver,removeanddiscardthe
4screwsandashpanretentionbracketfromfrontof
appliance
(Figure 5.1).
3. Remove ash pan and set aside
(Figure 5.1).
4. Removeanddiscardthepalletattachbracket
(Figure
5.1).
5. Usinga3/8socketoropenendwrench,removetwo
boltsonbacksideasshown
(Figure 5.2).
6. Slideapplianceforwardoffofpalletsupportbrackets
.
7. Replace ash pan
