B. RADAR & LASER ALARMING
Thedetectoridentifiesthebandonwhichthesignalis
receivedbymeansofdifferenttonesandanindication
inthedisplay.Withthedetectionofaradarsignalthe
indicationofthebandisshown.Thestrengthofthe
signalisshowninthedisplayasI,IIandIII.
C. HIGHWAY MODE
Highway mode provides full audio alarms and
maximum sensitivity for open road driving. It is
automatically activated when power is applied or
whenyourunitisturnedON.
D. CITY MODE
Therearemanysourcesoffalsealarmsignalsnear
cities.Thereareforinstanceseveraltypesofautomatic
doorsthatusethesamesignalasaradar.Thepurpose
ofthecitymodeistoreducesensitivitytoeliminate
mostfalsesourcessothattheunitwillnotalarmfor
weaksignals.Toaccessthecitymode,simplypress
the‘CITY’button.ToturnOFF,pressthebuttonagain.
E. DIP MODE
At night or if you wish that the display is not
illuminated, you can keep the ON/OFF key (PWR)
pressedduring2secondstodipthelightingoragain
during2secondstoswitchthelightingcompletelyoff.
F. MUTE MODE
Duringaradartransmissionwhentheaudioalarm
issounding,youhavetheoptiontomutethealarm
bypressingthe‘MUTE’buttonmomentarily.After
20 seconds the unit will de-mute automatically.
Youdonothavetoresettheunit.
G. HOW THE DETECTOR WARNS
!Startstobeepslowly,thenincreasesinratevery
rapidly.
FULLWARNING=Mostlikelypoliceradar.
!Beepsjustonce.
EXERCISECAUTION=Mostlikelyafalsesource
orcouldbepulsedradar.
!Veryfastbeeprateinstantly.
FULL WARNING = Radar close but has been
suddenlyswitchedon.
!Slowbeeprateasyouapproachhillorbridge.Sharp
increaseinbeeprateasyoureachhillorbridge.
FULL WARNING = Most likely police radar on
othersideofhillorbridge.
!Shortterm,weakbeeping,seriesofsignals.
