CARE
Keep the A/V Sender dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Use and store the
A/V Sender only in normal temperature environments. Handle the A/V Sender
carefully; do not drop it. Keep the A/V Sender away from dust and dirt, and wipe it
with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
USING THE IR EXTENDER FEATURE
The IR extender feature lets you use your original remote control to control
two A/V component(s) connected to the sender. If the sender is connected to
a DVD Player, or VCR in your living room, and the receiver is connected to a
TV in your bedroom, you can control the DVD Player or VCR while watching
the picture in your bedroom. When you point your remote control at the
receiver connected to your bedroom TV, it receives the IR commands from
your remote and converts them to wireless Radio Frequency (RF) commands,
and transmits them to the sender, which converts the signals and gives the
connected component(s) the requested commands.
The IR emitter cord lets you control up to two IR devices.
1. Plug the IR extender jack on the IR emitter cord into the IR EXT. socket
located on the back of the sender.
2. Place the emitter cord in front of the component(s) you want to control.
3. Peel the label off the sticky strips on the IR emitters and stick them close
to the IR sensors on the desired components.
4. Lift the IR Extender antennas on the sender and the receiver and rotate
them to the desired position for the best reception.
THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may
cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which
the receiver is connected.
• Consult your local RadioShack store or an experienced radio/TV technician for
help.
• If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using
your A/V Sender.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by RadioShack may cause
interference and void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.
SERVICE AND REPAIR
If your A/V Sender is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack
store for assistance. To locate your nearest RadioShack, use the store locator
feature on RadioShack's website (www.radioshack.com), or call 1-800-The Shack
(843-7422) and follow the menu options. Modifying or tampering with the A/V
Sender's internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its
warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate it.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are not receiving any sound or picture:
• Check that CHANNEL (A, B, C, D) is set to the same letter on both units.
The switch is on the bottom of the sender and under the flip-up antenna
on the receiver.
• Check that the sender and receiver are both plugged in to a power
source.
• Check that ON/OFF on the sender and receiver is set to ON.
If the video or sound quality is poor, or if there is interference, try changing the
channel on both units. Make sure both units are set to the same channel
(A, B, C, or D).

USING YOUR SIGNAL SENDER
Your sender converts the
A/V signal from your A/V
component to a 2.4 GHz
wireless Radio Frequency
(RF) signal and transmits it
(even through walls) to the
receiver. The receiver
converts the signal back to
an A/V signal and passes it
through a cable to your
TV’s COAX input, or A/V
input jacks.
1. Set the sender and
receiver’s ON/OFF
switches to ON. The
red LEDs on the front
of the units light.
2. Set CHANNEL on the
sender and receiver to
the same letter
(A, B, C, or D).
3. Turn on the connected
components.
