Maintenance and incidents
3 To exit the maintenance menu, press
. The machine automatically exits the maintenance menu after 30 sec-
onds if no key is pressed.
CALIBRATION
Is used to calibrate the scanner. This operation may be necessary
when the quality of the scanned pages is not good enough.
Two calibration options are available. It is recommended to use the
internal calibration option.
To carry out a calibration, follow these steps:
1 Once the CALIBRATION menu is displayed, press the
.
2 Select INTERNAL or WHITE PAPER by pressing
.
3 If INTERNAL, confirm the operation by pressing
and fol-
low the instructions displayed on the screen.
If WHITE PAPER, Insert a blank page (width 216mm) in the
scanner and press the
and follow the instructions dis-
played on the screen.
Once the operation is completed, a message is displayed on
the LCD screen.
LANGUAGE
Is used to change the interface language.
FACTORY RESET
Is used to restore the default configuration.
RESTORE SETTINGS
Restores the settings present on the connected USB flash drive.
This menu is only present if a USB flash drive is connected to the
machine.
1 Insert a USB flash drive the right way round into the connector
at the rear of the machine.
2 Once the RESTORE SETTINGS menu is displayed,
press
.
3 Confirm by pressing
.
4 Do not remove the USB flash drive under any circumstances.
5 After saving, RESTORE SETTINGS is displayed on the screen
again.
6 Remove the USB flash drive.
When you have several machines, this allows you to create a
settings file according to your choice and install this file on all your
machines.
SAVE SETTINGS
Saving settings on the connected USB flash drive.
This menu is only present if a USB flash drive is connected to the
machine.
1 Insert a USB flash drive the right way round into the connector
at the rear of the machine.
2 Once the SAVE SETTINGS menu is displayed, press
.
Do not remove the USB flash drive under any circumstances.
3 After saving, SAVE SETTINGS is displayed on the screen
again.
4 Remove the USB flash drive.
