7.1 Retrofitting the resistance
transmitters
An actuator board with corresponding resis-
tance transmitters and gear wheels is required
forresistancetransmitterretrofit.Whichactu-
ator board is to be used depends on the ac-
tuator type designation as well as the power
supplyandtransittimespecifications(seeAp-
pendix,Table1onpage26).
If the actuators does not have limit con-
tacts,anadditionalretrofitkit(seeFig.3on
page 15)isrequired.
7.1.1 Retrofitting (without lim-
it contacts)
1. Unscrew fastening screws. Push the ac-
tuatorboard(12)fromitsguidingtothe
right. Remove the actuator board and re-
place it with a board carrying resistance
transmitters.
2. Clipthespindlegear(2)ontothesleeve
(13).Makesurethelatchisproperlyen-
gaged in the groove of the sleeve. Place
theintermediategear(1)onthespindle
1(11.1).Mounttheserratedring(3)and
push it down as far as it will go.
3. Placethetensionspring(4)ontothespin-
dle3(11.3),ensuringthatthelongwire
of the tension spring rests on the interme-
diategear(1)andthattheshortwireof
the spring is located between spindle 3
(11.3)andspindle4(11.4).Mountthe
shim(10)onspindle2(11.2).Mountthe
serratedring(6)andpushitdownasfar
as it will go.
4. Theresistancetransmittergears(22and
23)fittedwithserratedringsmustbeput
onto their shafts to correspond with the
rated travel of the valve. The rated travel
inscription'A'for30 mmratedtravelor
'B'for15 mmratedtravelmustbelegible
(seealsoFig.9onpage23).
5. Push the actuator board (12) back into
its guiding. Make sure that the gears are
properly engaged. Fasten the board us-
ing screws.
