other A/V equipment

channel 2. with no changes to your other A/V gear.
Installing EmitterLincs
Your SmartLinc Home Theater Kit comes with stick-on infrared
emitters that allow you to “hardwire” the infrared control sig-
nals between HouseLinc and your home theater equipment.
Assuming that you have easy line-of-sight between HouseLinc
and your equipment, installation of these emitters is optional.
1.
Locate one of the EmitterLincs (#1109).
2.
Plug the mini-jack into the jack labeled “IR Out 1”.
3.
Locate the IR “input window” on your TV (or other A/V
device ), usually behind a red plastic window.
4.
Remove the adhesive covering from the flat side of the
emitter, and affix it on the IR “input window” on your TV
(you will still be able to use your standard remote con-
trol as this device allows IR signals to pass thru it).
5.
Place the 2nd emitter on your VCR.
