Optimum Optical System for Digital SLR cameras, Di-II
•
High Quality Digital Images
This lens is exclusively designed for digital SLR photography, and provides high
quality digital photos with its outstanding resolution and contrast.
•
Abundance of Special Glass Materials
The optical system uses one each of HID (High Index/High Dispersion glass)
and LD (Low Dispersion) glass element to minimize on-axis and lateral chromatic
aberrations. In addition, one high-precision, large clear aperture, glass-molded
aspherical element and two hybrid aspherical elements are used to thoroughly
compensate for spherical and chromatic aberrations and distortion.
•
Countermeasures against Ghosting and Flare with New Technologies
Tamron has adopted various countermeasures against ghosting and fl are, which are
annoying factors in digital photography. "Internal Surface Coatings"* and new multiple-
layer coating technology on ordinary elements are employed to minimize reflections
that occur when light enters through the front element and to reduce image degrading
effects caused by the imagers themselves.
*Multiple-layer coatings on cemented surfaces of plural elements.
•
Peripheral Light Fall-off is Minimized
Peripheral light fall-off that is noticeable in digital images is minimized when
compared to conventional lenses for fi lm cameras. The images are uniformly bright
from center to periphery.
