GETTING STARTED
How to use shoulder / lapbelts :
• Enter the car and close the door. Sit
back and adjust the front seat. Make
sure that your seat is adjusted to a
good driving position and the back
of the seat is upright.
• The tongue is located above the back
of your seat. Grasp the tongue and
pull out the belt over the shoulder and
across the chest. When the belt is
long enough to fit, insert the tongue
into the lock buckle until you hear a
“CLICK” which indicates that the belt
is securely locked.
• Position the lap belt across your
thighs, below your abdomen. To
remove slack in the lap belt portion,
pull up a bit on the shoulder belt. To
loosen the lap belt if it is too tight, tilt
the tongue and pull on the lap belt. A
snug belt reduces the risk of sliding
under the belt in a collision.
• To release the belt, push the red
button on the lock buckle. The belt
will automatically retract to its stowed
position. If necessary, slide the
tongue down the webbing to allow the
belt to retract fully.
Seat belt safety :
WARNING
• Wearing a seat belt incorrectly is
dangerous. Seat belts are designed
to bear upon the bony structure of
the body and should be worn low
across the front of the pelvis, or the
pelvis, chest and shoulders, as
applicable. Wearing the lap section
of the belt across the abdominal
area must be avoided.

Limiter belts (RPLL) :
The main function of RPLL belt is to
remove slack from the belt in the event
of an accident to restrict forward
movement of the occupant. The RPLL
belts are triggered in situations where
the front or side airbags deploy. Do not
disconnect RPLL belts electrical
connection.
