• DonotunplugorplugintheexternalDRAattachmentwhentheinstrumentis

on.Thiswillruinthedetectorsoftheintegratingsphere

• DonotputwhitelightintotheDRAwiththeDRAelectricallyconnectedtothe

Cary.

• Minimizetheamountoftimethattheintegratingsphereisopen.Long-termlight

exposurehurtthedetectorovertime.

• Wearcleangloveswhileusingtheinstrument

• Donotuseliquidorpowdersamplesintheintegratingsphere.

1. Turnoncomputer

2. Checklensandmirrorarecorrectforyourmeasurement.

a. InstallSmallSampleKitmirror(M3SSK)orregularM3mirrorifneeded

b. IfusingSSKinstallcorrectlensL2.

3. MakesurecoverfortheDRAisfullyclosedandturnCaryon.

4. ClickontheCaryicononthetaskbar

5. Wait20minutesforthelampstowarmup.

6. Select
