Maintenance and Troubleshooting Information
Your Webasto heater requires no periodic maintenance other than a visual inspection preferably
prior to the heating season, by an Authorized Webasto Sales & Service Center to ensure the
heater and all components are free from damage and in proper working condition.
During the warmer months of the year when heating is not required, the heater should be
switched on and allowed to run for 20 minutes once a month as a minimum. This will
keep a clean, fresh supply of fuel in the heater fuel system and keep all moving parts in top
operating condition.
Fault Lock-out Deactivation
Interrupt power supply by removing the 20A fuse at the heater fuse block cluster. Wait 3 sec.
Reinstall the fuse. Press the ON (
) button on the digital timer. Wait 3 sec. Interrupt power
supply by removing the 20A fuse at the heater fuse block cluster. Wait 3 sec. Reinstall the fuse.
Heater will be turned on.
NOTE:
The heater will start operating as soon as the fuse is replaced!

Emergency Shut-Off Instructions
Shut off by removing the fuses located on the power harness or fuse block. There is a
separate fuse block for the Webasto pre-heater. Call the Webasto Customer Service
Hotline for assistance, or contact your nearest Authorized Webasto Sales & Service Center.
Remote Activation with Optional Remote Control System
Operation
The remote, when activated, will provide a heating cycle for one hour or
ventilation, when activated, (vehicle blower only) for one hour.
The remote transmitter has a deactivation (Off) function to turn off the
heat or vent cycle manually if desired.
Setting HVAC Controls for Winter Operation
In many installations it will be necessary to set the vehicle’s heating
control to low fan, maximum heat position and to defrost before
leaving the vehicle.
Setting HVAC Controls for Summer Operation
It will be necessary to set the vehicle’s heating control to low fan, maximum
cool position and to defrost before leaving the vehicle.
Switching On - Heating Mode
Press ‘
’ button for one second
Switching On - Ventilation Mode
Press ‘
’ button for one second
Switching Off in Both Modes
Manually – Press the ‘
’ button for one second
Automatically – After one hour of operation has elapsed
NOTE:
The LED (red) will illuminate whenever a button is pushed.
ATTENTION!
Anytime the heating or ventilation mode is re-activated (button repeatedly pushed after the
original start) the operation time will reset to 1-hour. Continuous re-setting of the one hour
run time may discharge the vehicle battery thus preventing the start of the engine in cold
climates.
ATTENTION!
For optimum heating performance, when leaving the vehicle, prior to remote start of the
heater, set the vehicle controls to maximum heat, air outlet to defrost and blower speed to
the low speed position.
ATTENTION!
For optimum ventilation performance, when leaving the vehicle, prior to remote start of the
ventilation, set the air outlet control to defrost and blower speed to medium position.
