› On deck B you can check the tape position with the tape counter (5).
The forwarding and rewinding ends automatically, when the tape ends.
Recording
› Recording onto cassettes is only possible on deck B.
› Press the key POWER (1) to switch on the device.
› Press the / STOP/EJ button from deck B.
› Put an unrecorded Cassette with tape opening downwards in deck B.
› Close the drive.
If it is a CrO
2
-Cassette, press the button REC CrO
2
(8). When the button is activated a red control
LED fl ashes on the display (4) above the button.
› Put the switch NOISE REDUCTION (3) into the desired position:
The cassette should be recorded with the hissing reject system > put switch to ON.
The cassette should be recorded without the hissing reject system > put switch to OFF.
Recording from an external audio source.
› Choose the desred audio source on your amplifi er, whose signal should be recorded.
› Press buttonPAUSE at deck B.
› Press the buttons REC andPLAY from deck B at the same time.
› Start replay at your recording source and press buttonPAUSE at deck B again to start the
recording.
› During the recording the display (4) fl ashes a red control LED on the right upper side.
› Control the recording with the control REC LEVEL (6) by setting the control in a way, that the red
section of the control display on the display (4) only fl ashes very shortly when signal is very high.
Chapter 5
Operation
› Press the buttonPAUSE to interrupt the recording shortly. To continue recording press
buttonPAUSE again.
› Press the button / STOP/EJ, to end the recording.
› Press the button /STOP/EJ again, to remove the cassette.
The recording ends automatically when the tape ends.
Copy function
› Prepare the recording by undergoing steps described under “recording”.
› Put a cassette that should be recorded into deck A.
› Choose a copy pace:
Press the button DUBBING (10), to copy the cassette with a normal pace.
Press the button HI.SP.DUB. (9), to copy the cassette with a double pace.
A normal speed pace garantuees a better copy quality. Do not change the pace during the
recording.
› Depending on the pace the display (4) fl ishes, above the button DUBBING (10) resp. HI.SP.DUB.
(9) the corresponding Kontroll-LED.
› Press buttonPAUSE at deck B.
› Press the buttons REC andPLAY from deck B at the same time.
› Press the buttonPLAY pf deck A and at the same time the button PAUSE on deck B. the
copy begins.
› During copying the display (4) fl ashes a red control LED on the right upper side.
› Press the button / STOP/EJ at both decks, to end the recording.
› Press the button / STOP/EJ at both decks again, to remove the cassette.
The copying ends automatically, when the tape ends.
