5. The status change to ‘Keyboard Connected!’ which
means the keyboard is ready to use.
Note: Bluetooth connection normally takes a few seconds
to connect or disconnect; therefore when turning on/off
the keyboard power there will be a delay before the
status field display any changes.
6. Now you can use keyboards’ up and down arrow keys to scroll the cursor on BlackBerry screen.
Use keyboards’ left and right arrow keys to change the value you preferred.
Sound Level option allows you to set the volume of beep sound when the keyboard connect or
disconnect with your BlackBerry handheld. Two beeps will be heard when the keyboard makes
connection; one beep when it is disconnected.
Repeat Rate option allows you to set the speed at which any typed character will repeat when
press and hold down a key. The higher the value the quicker the key will repeat.
Repeat Delay option allows you to set the length of time before any typed character begins to
repeat when you hold down a key. The higher the value the longer it will take before a key will
start repeating.
Keyboard Test field is where you test the effect of repeat rate and repeat delay option.
7. The BlueKeyboard comes with 10 user programmable
Function Keys. This feature gives user an easy access
to any of installed applications on BlackBerry handheld by
pressing the appropriate combination keys on the
keyboard.
Please use keyboards’ up and down arrow keys to scroll
the cursor to desired function key and use keyboards’ left
and right arrow keys to select desired application.
For example (see figure on the right) BlackBerry will
launch Alarm application when user pressing [Fn] and
[1] keys together.
Keyboard registration and setting finished.Press keyboards’ [Home] key to go back to BlackBerry
home screen.
