5 XenData Digital Video Archive
The SXL-1000 systems are pre-configured as follows.
The Windows 7 operating system and XenData software are licensed and activated on the
SX-10. In addition, the device drivers for the SL150 are loaded on the SX-10.
The SL150 is configured with one reserve slot that is intended for a cleaning cartridge.
The SL150 web interface has the following
Administrator ID and password: ‘admin’ and
‘XDpassword1’. The web interface is accessed via the NET MGT port 1 of the SL150 which
has an IP address 0f 192.168.20.5.
One network port on the SX-10 is pre-configured for connection to the SL150 web interface
with an IP address (IPv4) of 192.168.20.4. This the network port illustrated in section 2.3.
Windows Explorer configuration on the SX-10 has a Favorites Bar link which launches the
SL150 web interface.
The pre-configured network port on the SX-10 may be reconfigured for other purposes.
2. Setup and Connection Instructions
2.1 Check Packing List
Remove all components and verify against packing list.
2.2 Install the SX-10 and LTO Library in a Rack
Install the SX-10 in a 19 inch rack using the screws provided.
Setup the StorageTek SL150 Base Module and Expansion Modules as described in the
respective Setup Guides that are included in the shipping boxes.
2.3 Make Archive System Internal Connections
Connect the SX-10 to the LTO library drive(s) using the SAS cable(s), as supplied. The SAS
cable(s) may be connected to either of the 6 Gb/s SAS ports on the SX-10.
Connect the supplied green network cable from the port of the SX-10 to NET MGT port 1 of the
SL150 Library as illustrated below.
