Detect Folded Corners
Select this option to have the scanner detect when a page that has a corner folded down is being scanned. When a
page with a folded corner is scanned, a message will appear on-screen indicating that a folded corner has been
detected. You will have the option to correct the page, ignore the warning, or cancel scanning.
This option will be disabled if the value in the Document size length field exceeds the maximum supported page
length for this feature. This limitation varies based on the scanner version as described below. If you do not know
which version of scanner you have, please refer to
Checking the Scanner Firmware Version
.
If your scanner has firmware version 2.0 or higher, the Detect folded corners option will be disabled if Straighten
image is not selected.
Note: make sure the paper guides on the input tray are adjusted to the width of the document in the scanner. The
guides should be touching the paper to help feed the page in as straight as possible. Folded corners may not be
detected properly on skewed pages.
If this option does not function as expected, please try cleaning the scanner glass. When scanning at higher
resolutions (e.g. 300 dpi or higher), dust on the scanner glass may be interpreted as valid scan data.
