Troubleshooting

The CRW3200IX drive is not turned on when the power switch is ON.
(The front panel LED does not light.)

Are the AC adapter and the power cable connected properly?
Turn off the power switch and check that the CRW3200IX drive, the AC adapter,
the power cable, and the AC outlet are connected properly. (P. 11, 12)
If not, connect them properly, and then turn on the CRW3200IX drive.
If the CRW3200IX is not turned on (the front panel LED does not light) even if they
are connected properly, contact the store of purchase or your nearest Yamaha dealer
(listed at the back of this manual).

The operating system does not start up properly.

Is the IEEE1394 interface card installed properly?
Refer to the documentation that comes with the IEEE1394 interface card.

The CRW3200IX drive is not recognized by the operating system.
(Refer to page 15 for Windows or page 19 for Macintosh to check recognition
of the CRW3200IX drive.)

Are the drive and IEEE1394 interface card connected properly to the computer
with a proper IEEE1394 cable?
Turn off the CRW3200IX drive and the computer. Check that the IEEE1394 cable is
fully connected to the CRW3200IX drive. (P. 13 for Windows, P. 18 for Macintosh)

Is the IEEE1394 interface card recognized by the operating system properly?
Follow the documentation that comes with the IEEE1394 interface card or the
computer, and check that the IEEE1394 interface card is recognized by the operating
system properly.
If the IEEE1394 interface card is recognized, contact the store of purchase or your
nearest Yamaha dealer (listed at the back of this manual).
If not, refer to the documentation that comes with the IEEE1394 interface card or the
computer. If the IEEE1394 interface card is still not recognized, there may be a
problem with the device driver or elsewhere.
Contact the manufacturer of the IEEE1394 interface card or the computer.
Refer to the YAMAHA CD-R/RW Drive website for the latest support data,
including information on troubleshooting.
