Equalisation (EQ)
The EQ is divided into 3 bands:
● High control at 10-20 kHz with ±14 dB,
● Mid control at 1 kHz with ± 14 dB,
● Low control at 60 Hz with ± 14 dB.
The EQ settings should normally be kept at or around the linear
(0) position and should only be carefully adjusted for special
sounds or to adapt to local acoustics. There is really no point in
turning all the controls right up as that would always result in
sound deterioration.
The Effect control mixes the selected internal effects (16 pro-
grammes) into the input channel.
The Aux control regulates the external Aux Send which can be
used as a monitor route or as a second effects route.
Aux (= auxiliary) is post-fade which means that it’s wired after
the channel volume control and the aux send output only gets a
signal when the channel volume is turned up.
The Pan (panorama) control distributes the incoming signal
proportionally to master left/right. When pan is centrally positio-
ned (0) the incoming signal is divided equally between left and
right.
With stereo connection the two signals are left and right and the
pan control simply reduces the strength of one or the other sig-
nal. When only the Left/Mono socket is connected pan func-
tions normally.
The Volume control knob regulates the volume of the channel.
If the Clip LED reacts, the Gain control should be turned back
and the Volume control turned up.
