9. Tap Next. Enter the phone number you want to dial-out on.
10. Tap Next.
11. Tap Finish. The new connection now appears in the settings. You are
now ready to make a connection.
12. Select Start>Programs>Connections. The new connection appears in
the Connection window.
13. Select the new connection. Fill in your user name and password like
you would for any dial-up connection.
14. Tap Connect.
15. When you connect the Bluetooth port is opened and you are asked
which device you are connecting to. Select the phone from the list.
16. Tap OK.
Once you make this selection, your Pocket PC automatically attempts to
establish internet connection using this Dial-Up service.
For Pocket PC 2002 users:
NOTE: IPAQ users the IPAQ Pocket PC 2002 update 1 (EW1) is required for your
device to make a GPRS connection. See the Compaq Web site for download information.
7. Select Start>Settings, and then the Connections tab.
8. Tap the Connections icon.
9. In the "Internet Settings" area of the window, tap Modify, then tap
New. Name the new connection.
10. Select "3Com Bluetooth Modem", tap Next.
11. Enter the phone number you want to dial-out on. Tap Next.
12. Tap Finish. The new connection now appears in the settings.
You are now ready to make a connection.
13. In Settings, in the Internet Setting area of the window, tap Connect.
Fill in your user name and password like you would for any dial-up
connection. Tap OK.
14. From the Bluetooth device list on the screen, select the phone. Tap OK.
Once you make this selection, your Pocket PC automatically attempts to
establish internet connection using this Dial-Up service.
NOTE: In Pocket 2002, making a dial-up connection may take more than one attempt to
connect. The operating system will automatically attempt three times. Select the phone you
are trying to connect to if prompted multiple times during this process.
