After approximately 20 seconds a message “
SEARCHING” is given, indicating that the unit is searching for a base unit.
You may be too far away from the base, or the base unit is switched off!
When in contact with a base unit again; a message “
BASE (number), GROUP 1” is given, confirming that the unit is
logged on to a base with the actual number.
2.5.5 LOGGING ON A NEW PORTABLE UNIT TO A BASE
Ifanotherportableunitshallbeloggedontothebase,theactualbaseunitmustbesetin
REGISTRATIONmode(see2.1.4).
TheportableunitmustbeinSEARCHmode(see2.2.7).
Notice:AllmainunitsaredeliveredopenforregistrationfromfactoryandaDECT-ComIIsystemcanbestarteddirectly“outofthe
box”byfirststartingabase/portableunitasabaseasdescribedaboveandafterthat,allportableunits,sequentiallyandcontinually,
asdescribedabove.
Afterthefirstturnoffofthebaseunit,theconfigurationofthesystemisfixedandallfuturechangeofanyunitshastobehandled

Whenabaseisfoundavoiceconfirmation“
BASE (number), GROUP 1”isgiven.
Tofindmorebases,repeatthisprocedureagain.

•InVOLUMEmodeonaportableunitinLISTENmode;doublepressonthe[M]buttontoenterBASE SELECTION MODE.
Avoiceconfirmation“
BASE”isgiven,urgingtoselectabase.
•Press[+]or[–]tocyclethroughthenumbersofavailablebasesandanautosetting
Avoiceconfirmationisgivenforeachavailablechoice:“
AUTO”,“ONE”,“TWO”….
Stopatyourpreferredbasenumber(orauto,seebelow).
•Logontothebasebypressingthe[M]buttonandreturntolistenonlymenuitemsbypressingbrieflyonthemodebutton.
Avoiceconfirmation“
LOGIN”followedby“BASE (number), GROUP 1”isgiven,confirmingthattheportableunitislogged
ontothebasewiththegivennumberasalistenerinthegivengroup.
Ifthesystemis“open”and“
AUTO”ischosen,theunitwilllogontothebasewiththehighestsignalstrength.
Notice:IfthereismorethanoneDECT-ComIIsystemwithinrangeofeachother,theportableunitscouldbepre-designated
tocertainbasesrespectively.Then,ifthechoice“
AUTO”,theunitwilllogontothefirstfoundofthepre-designatedbases.

3 LOGGING IN TO OR OUT OF A CONFERENCE
Upto9activespeakersandadditionallymorethan40listenerscanbemembersinaDECT-ComIIconference,onthe
samebaseatthesametime.Theycanbesubdividedinupto3conferenceswithfewermembersineachgroup.
3.1 LOGGING IN AS A LISTEN-ONLY CONFERENCE MEMBER
Aportableunitisinitiallyloggedintoaconferenceasa
LISTEN-ONLYmember,takingpartintheDECT-ComIIconferenceasalistener
only.Avoiceconfirmation“
BASE (number), GROUP (number)”withtheactualconferencenumberandgroupisgiven.
Atanytimeitispossiblefora
LISTEN-ONLYmembertoenterasanACTIVEmemberinaconferencegroupbypressinga[PTT#]button.
Iftheconferencealreadyconsistsofthemaximumnumberofmembers,thefirstloggedin
ACTIVEmemberispushedouttobea
LISTEN-ONLYmember.
3.2 LOGGING IN AS AN ACTIVE CONFERENCE MEMBER
•Presstwiceon[PTT #]tobreakintooneofthemax.threeconferences.
Adoubletoneisconfirmingthatyouareanactivememberintheselectedconference.
•Pressonceonthesame[PTT #]againtochangetolisten-onlymode.
Asingletoneisconfirmingthatyouarealisten-onlymemberintheconference.
