Serial Digital Cabin Audio Amplifier
1.0 General Information
1.1 Introduction
This manual contains information for the proper installation of the Audio
International, Inc. (AI) Serial Digital Cabin Audio Amplifier, Model No:
PA-9075-x01-x. The "-x01" in the model number represents the
configuration of the unit; a "-101" indicates a unit designed to
accommodate 4 full range speaker outputs while "-201" indicates a unit
designed to accommodate 2 low frequency (woofer) speaker outputs, 2
full range speaker outputs. The “-x” suffix designates the type of
connector utilized; “-1” = Positronic and “-2” = D-Subminiature. Also
included are physical and electrical characteristics of the unit.
1.2 Purpose of the Equipment
Audio International’s PA-9075-x01-x Serial Digital Cabin Audio Amplifier is
a four-output Class D amplifier that accepts stereo AES-3 digital audio,
analog PA microphone and briefer audio, and can generate chime and
ring tones. Operational control is handled through Audio International’s
proprietary RS-485 data bus and discrete inputs.
There are two outputs on each of the left and right stereo channels. In the
“-101” models, all outputs are full range, whereas the “-201” models, an
internal crossover network provides outputs for two full range (left/right)
and two low-frequency (left/right woofer) speakers.
