2.5.3 Discrete Inputs — Activation of a Passenger Address Mic, Cabin
Briefer, Weight-On-Wheels (WOW), Chime In, Low Tone Chime In,
Two-tone Chime In, and Call In can be done with a standard
switch/relay/etc.
PA MIC KEY — Pulling this discrete input pin to power ground
(PA
MIC INPUTS to the speakers. Additionally, PA microphone
audio is preampified and routed to the Sidetone Out and PA Out
pins as balanced audio. An open-collector status pin, PA Key
Output, is actively pulled to ground and can sink up to 100mA.
If not active, this pin appears as a high impedance. Upon
deactivation of the PA MIC KEY input, audio returns to the
previous state.
BRIEFER KEY — Pulling this discrete input pin to power ground
(BRIEFER INPUTS to
the speakers (unless PA is active). Upon deactivation of the
BRIEFER KEY input, audio returns to the previous state.
Weight On Wheels Input — Pulling this discrete input pin to
power ground (
(approximately 6dB) of the cabin audio. Volume of the other
functions (PA, Briefer, etc) is not affected.
Chime In / TT Chime In — Applying an active high (+28 VDC)
to either of these pins cause a two-tone (high/low) chime to
sound from the cabin speakers. After the chime sound
completes, audio returns to the previous state. The pin must be
deactivated before another chime tone can be sounded.
Low Tone — Pulling this discrete input pin to power ground
(
completes, audio returns to the previous state. The pin must be
deactivated before another tone can be sounded.
Call In — Pulling this discrete input pin to power ground (
V) causes a telephone-like ringing tone to sound. This tone
continues until the pin is deactivated. Upon deactivation, audio
returns to the previous state.
