2. INTRODUCTION
In addition to information about setting-up the appliance, its
operation and maintenance, these instructions for use also contain
advice about its safe use.
The appliance is fully protected by means of a modulating
thermostatic switch and a thermoelectric pilot flame safety device to
prevent the accidental escape of gas from the main burner.
The appliance is protected by a thermal safety device (TSD). This
safety device switches the appliance off if flue gases spread through
the room. This can happen if there is insufficient ventilation and/or if
the flue does not work properly.
The appliance is available with a steel mantle or soapstone or
ceramic covering.
Should it prove necessary, due to moving house for instance, the flue
outlet can be moved from the top to the rear of the fireplace or vice
versa.
A conversion kit is available from Faber International for this purpose.

The instructions for use are intended for the consumer and besides
information about the use of your appliance, the booklet also
includes advice on safety and maintenance.
In compiling the installation instructions, it has been assumed that
the appliance will be installed by a qualified gas-fitter who is familiar
with both national and local regulations
