Stock firmware:
With “stock firmaware” you can restore the phone to its “factory settings”, this means
that this doesn't have to be the same version when you bought the phone though...
(therefore it's always wise to make a “nand backup” from your phone so you will have
a backup with all the data)
Prerequisites:
1. Fairphone 2
2. Ubuntu Laptop (with Ubuntu 14.04 or later)
Installing Developer tools on your Ubuntu computer
Before you can start, you first have to install the following programs on your computer:
(For this manual we used Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)
In terminal install the following programs:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot ubuntu-device-flash
Let’s get started
First steps:
Putting your phone in Fast-boot mode:
Keep the On/of button pressed, till it vibrates while pressing down the “volume button
down” Release all buttons when the phone shows the Fairphone screen
The phone will show a screen like this:
