5.2 Power On / Off
(Personal Protective Equipment) PPE
Before using the grinder, wear suitable work clothing, gloves, shoes and protective goggles.
Also wear a mask if you work with materials that produce dust or fumes.
Also wear protective devices for the ears (hearing protectors), such as earmuffs, earplugs,
etc.
Workspace
Be familiar with the work area.
Always check the work area before using the grinder.
Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and well lit.
Machining metals, such as magnesium, can lead to the formation of potentially explosive or
combustible dust or fumes; therefore, avoid the presence of flames or hot surfaces in the
work area.
After assembling the grinding wheel and connecting the flexible compressed air supply hose,
grab the grinder by its "torch" handle.
The Grinder is equipped with a knob for adjusting the grinding wheel's rotation speed
according to the type of material: the harder the material, the greater the speed of rotation.
Turn the grinding wheel speed adjustment knob to the
desired position:
+ (right) to increase the speed
- (left) to reduce the speed

To start the grinder (to rotate the tool), press the safety lever forward with your thumb
(Figure 6/A), then press the start lever against the housing of the grinder (Figure 6/B).
