Finding an Item
To find an item from your current location:
1. Fromanypage,press
FINDtoopentheFindFromCurrentPositionPage.
2. Highlightacategory,andpress
ENTER.Forsomecategories,youmightneedto
selectmultiplesubcategories.
3. Highlightaniteminthesearchresultslist,andpress
ENTER.TheReviewPage
appearsshowingiteminformation,maplocation,chartname,distance/bearing,and
optionsforcreatingawaypointorviewingthenextiteminthesearchresultslist.
Marking a Waypoint
To mark your current location:
1. Pressandhold
ENTER/MARKuntiltheReview
WaypointPageappears.TheGPSMAP3005C
capturesyourcurrentlocation,andthencreatesa
defaultnameandsymbolforthenewwaypoint.
2. Toacceptthewaypointwiththedefaultinformation,
press
ENTER,ortochangeanywaypointinformation,
highlight the appropriate field and press
ENTER.

Navigating to a Destination
To navigate to a destination
1. Press
NAV
toaccesstheNavigationmenu.
2. Highlight
Go To Point,Follo Route,Follo Track,orTracBack,andpressENTER.
3. Usethe
ROCKERtohighlightapoint,track,orroutefromthelist,andpressENTER.
4. Ifyouselectedapoint,pressthe
Go Tosoftkey.Ifyouselectedarouteorsavedtrack,
choosefromtheselections,andpress
ENTER.
5. FollowthemagentaroutecreatedontheMapPage.YoucanalsousetheCompassPage
tohelpyounavigate.
Using the MOB (Man OverBoard) Feature
The Man OverBoard function (MOB) simultaneously marks and sets a course back to the
marked location for quick response to emergency situations.
To start the MOB function:
1. Pressandhold
NAV/MOB.Amessage
appearsaskingyouifyouwanttobegin
navigationtotheMOBwaypoint.
2. Press
ENTERtobeginnavigatingtothe
MOBlocation.
3. Tostopnavigationtothe
MOBlocation,press
NAV,highlightStop Navigation,andpress
ENTER.
